Back in the booth

The last few weeks have seen me get back behind the mic recording some of the newest material. We've now got one of the newest songs 'All The Wasted Hours' into excellent shape, I heard the guitars that Paul has recorded this week and they sounded amazing. However last night we were lucky enough to get into a 'real' studio for a vocal session on one of the older tracks which was gigged quite a bit in 2007 - 'Mute' (working title).
I hadn't recorded outside of the home studio for years, not since 2002 when we recorded an EP with producer Mark Daghorn. It was amazing how last night I was reminded of that session from 7 years ago. Its quite weird being locked away from everybody laying down takes, you have much less idea whether what your doing is working or not! It was a fun evening though, and I look forward to getting the rest of vocals done very soon.
