Someone's going to make a killing in the name of Christmas

citizenpaul's picture

So you've already probably seen this by now - yes, over 345,000 people (probably way more than that by the time I've finished typing this) are intent on stopping whichever X-Factor puppet wins this year from scoring the default Christmas number one, by buying Rage Against The Machine's Killing in the Name on Sunday. Sounds pretty funny, particularly since the song contains about 16 'fuck's. Read more »

Radiohead & House - a perfect match!

citizenross's picture

If like me, you've been eagerly awaiting the new series of House then you may have encountered the great treat of Radiohead's 'No Surprises' becoming the new theme song to the show!

I suspect that this may have been a guest musical companion to the credits, so to tie in with the rather dramatic circumstances poor old House finds himself stuck in as the episode opens, but still this was a perfect match if you ask me!

For those interested here's a trailer for the new series, (although no Radiohead here)

More news on the new ACAS vid soon!

Reading write-up / Beatles Bank holiday

citizenpaul's picture

I was lucky enough to get to see Radiohead at Reading yesterday evening – was really a great show, and did have a few surprises, like opening up with Creep.

The set-list is here: http://www.ateaseweb.com/2009/08/30/radiohead-at-reading-festival-live-r... and the iPlayer footage here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00mgwv4/Reading_and_Leeds_Festival....

First live performance of Radiohead's 'These Are My Twisted Words'

citizenpaul's picture

Some kind soul has posted the newest Radiohead song up on YouTube, live from a recent festival. I think I like it, especially Phil's drumming, but I feel a bit sorry for poor old Ed O'Brien, who doesn't seem to have much to do on it. Roll on Reading this weekend!

How can this CD break even...?

citizenpaul's picture

I can't believe this is not a spoof! The packaging for this artist's latest CD is actually some kind of circuit board thing that also serves as an electronic instrument. Just the thing I've always been looking for... How on earth is he going to re-coup his costs? Probably every unit shifted costs him money. Buy! Buy! Buy!
