Sales of Evacuate - CD Baby donation to Haiti earthquake relief fund

Just a quick note to let you know that the nice people at CD Baby, who sell our album Evacuate, have pledged to donate $1 from every CD sale to the Haiti earthquake relief fund. This only applies to the CD version (as downloads have to be more than $8.99 to qualify). The donations are happening on sales happening from now until 7th February. Well, we said we would deliver a new song to you in time for Christmas, and in standard Citizen style we've cut it close. But here it is, Big Ideas in 192 kbps mp3 style, as a free download. Green Scenery: free mp3, booklet and promo video for new song

We’re delighted to announce the release of another brand new ACAS song, which will appear on our next album. Green Scenery is available as a free mp3 download exclusively available to registered members of this site – head over to the bonus section of the site to get your copy. You can either download the mp3 alone, or a zip file that includes the mp3 plus a PDF booklet featuring lyrics, artwork, production credits and stills from the video.

Also released today is an accompanying promo video for the song, which you can watch below, or in the video section of the site. The video shoot was eventful to say the least, and has been discussed in the blogs – and Ross will be posting up more on this shortly!

All the Wasted Hours: brand new free mp3 download and video

We're very pleased to announce the release of a brand new song and accompanying video today! "All the Wasted Hours" is available as a 192 kbps, free mp3 download from the bonus section (or, if you're already logged in, you'll find it on the front page). The video is embedded below this post.

This song took shape over the last year, and you can hear how it's evolved into its final form by comparing it with the first rehearsal room run-through (audio of that is also in the bonus section). You will need to register with the site to access the download, but the song is also streamable from our Facebook page (if you're reading this on the FB page - the song's in the audio player!). Words for the Living: brand new free mp3 download and video

We've updated the site today with a couple of our very own ACAS Easter eggs: a brand new song from our forthcoming second album.
 
It's called 'Words for the Living', and both the mp3 download and video are accessible from the site's bonus section (or, if you're already logged in, you'll find them on the front page). You will need to register with the site to access these if you are not already a member – registration is quick, easy and free to all (and we will not pass on your information to any third parties).
 
More information on the song itself and the making of the video can be found in the latest blogs, but for now, we hope you enjoy this taste of what's to come on the next album. As ever, let us know what you think by leaving us some comments.

Some sad news...

We have some unhappy news to report this month, as Tim Hall will no longer be playing bass with ACAS. Since joining us last year, Tim has contributed some amazing bass lines to the songs we're lining up for Album 2 (luckily for us, you'll still get to hear his performances on the new release, though). Tim is a very gifted player and musician in general, and we wish him great success and all the best with the other band he plays in – Brighton's HerelDeduke. Check 'em out.

We are very proud to welcome you to a brand new build of the ACAS web site. Aside from the new look, there's a much-expanded archive of content (check out the audio, video and images sections), plus fresh functionality in the form of user accounts, an automated newsletter, RSS feeds and an additional members-only repository of content. You can also let us know what you think by posting comments on all of the content.
Brand new video and audio content is on the way soon, as we move on with the work on album no 2...
